Robin Wielins, Au.D.

Dr. Wielins founded Island Audiology in Honolulu in March 2005. Located in Honolulu, she has grown the practice to four islands, and oversees audiology operations for all offices.  Dr. Wielins graduated from the University of Florida with her Doctor of Audiology degree in 2001.  She was one of the first graduates of the on-campus Au.D. program at UF, and completed her Au.D. residency at Shands Hospital. Dr. Wielins spends her free time doing yoga, bicycling, and swimming in the ocean.

Lindsey FRANCIS, Au.D.

Licensed Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Francis earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of North Texas after fulfilling her clinical externship year at Island Audiology.  Dr. Francis received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Stephen F. Austin State University in Texas.  In her free time, she enjoys exploring new places and experiencing everything Hawaii has to offer.

MANDI SCARBROUGH, Au.D.

Licensed Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Scarbrough earned her Doctor of Audiology degree as well as her Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and Science disorderdegree from the Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.  In her free time, she enjoy exploring new places, running and yoga.

"I absolutely love being able to help provide patients with the ability to communicate more easily with the world outside of them. Our connections and interactions with those we love are invaluable, and I am honored to provide services that help to facilitate them."

Kelsey Alpeter, Au.D.

Licensed Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Alpeter earned her doctorate from the University of South Alabama after fulfilling her clinical externship year at a private practice in Greenville, South Carolina. Dr. Alpeter received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Auburn University in Alabama. War Eagle! She understands that every patient has unique needs and loves helping each person figure out his or her own individualized solution. In her free time, she enjoys snorkeling, SCUBA diving, and walking her dog, Oliver.

ELIZA CIOFFI, Au.d.

Licensed Doctor of Audiology

Eliza earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from Northeastern University in Boston.  She fulfilled her clinical externship year at Island Audiology.  Eliza received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Rhode Island.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.

SHAYLA O'CONNELL, B.A.

Doctoral Intern

Shayla is currently earning her Doctor of Audiology degree from Pacific University in Portland Oregon.  She is completing her clinical externship year at Island Audiology.  Shayla was born and raised in Ewa Beach, Hawai'i, and is a graduate of James Campbell High School.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Gerontology from Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana.  Shayla enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, and going to the beach.

JASON JOHNSON

Licensed Hearing Aid Dispenser, Director of Business Development

Serving All Islands

Jason joined Island Audiology in May 2017 and is based in Kailua-Kona.  He has over a 16 years of experience in hearing health care, including research, training, and patient care.  His main focus has been in business & professional development.  Jason is a U.S. Navy Veteran, who served with the Marines as a Special Operations Corpsman.

Jason lives in Kona with his wife, Meg. When not working, he enjoys all that Hawaii has to offer… hiking, spending time at the beach, fishing, snorkeling and outdoor photography.  Jason & Meg have 4 children, Jacob, Brittany, Brooke & Wyatt.
