Dr. Wielins founded Island Audiology in Honolulu in March 2005. Located in Honolulu, she has grown the practice to four islands, and oversees audiology operations for all offices.  Dr. Wielins graduated from the University of Florida with her Doctor of Audiology degree in 2001.  She was one of the first graduates of the on-campus Au.D. program at UF, and completed her Au.D. residency at Shands Hospital. Dr. Wielins spends her free time doing yoga, bicycling, and swimming in the ocean.

STACI IRISH,  Au.D.

Dr. Irish earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from East Tennessee State University after completing her clinical externship year at Island Audiology.  Dr. Irish completed her Bachelor of Science degree at Central Michigan University with a major in Communication Disorders and a minor in American Sign Language.  In her free time, Dr. Irish enjoys hiking, backpacking, running, swimming, and enjoying the ocean.

MADISON SAUNDERS, Au.D.

Dr. Saunders earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center after completing her clinical externship year at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston.  Dr. Saunders completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at Louisiana State University with a major in Communication Science and Disorders and a double minor in Psychology and Linguistics. In her free time, Dr. Saunders enjoys reading, hiking, cooking, and adventuring around the island with her two dogs and husband who is active duty Army.

Lindsey Francis, Au.D.

Dr. Francis earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of North Texas.  She is fulfilling her clinical externship year at Island Audiology.  Dr. Francis received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Stephen F. Austin State University in Texas.  In her free time, she enjoys exploring Oahu and experiencing everything Hawaii has to offer.

Sandra abed, Au.D.

Serving Maui

Dr. Abed earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from Nova Southeastern University in Florida after completing her clinical externship at Texas Ear, Nose & Throat Specialists in Houston.  Dr. Abed completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of South Florida with a major of Communication Sciences and Disorders.  She is fluent in French.  In her free time, Dr. Abed enjoys hiking, running, being outdoors, and enjoying Hawaii's sunny weather.

ELIZA CIOFFI, B.S.

Eliza is currently earning her Doctor of Audiology degree from Northeastern University in Boston.  She is fulfilling her clinical externship year at Island Audiology.  Eliza received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Rhode Island.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.

SHAYLA O'CONNELL, B.S.

Shayla is currently earning her Doctor of Audiology degree from Pacific University in Portland Oregon.  She is completing her clinical externship year at Island Audiology.  Shayla was born and raised in Ewa Beach, Hawai'i, and is a graduate of James Campbell High School.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Gerontology from Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana.  Shayla enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, and going to the beach.
