Qualifications include a Hawaii License in Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensing (or eligibility for licensure), National Certification by ABA or ASHA, and a Doctor of Audiology degree.
Audiology Externship Opportunities:
The Audiology Externs will provide hearing and tinnitus evaluations, device selection, hearing aid fitting and follow up, and counseling. The Audiology Externs may sit in with Audiologists as they counsel patients regarding evaluation results and options that best meet their hearing care needs. The externships may also involve travel to other islands for patient care. Island Audiology often retains externs for full-time employment after graduation.

Patient Care Coordinator
Location: Kailua-Kona, HI
We’re seeking an individual who is personable and naturally friendly, detail oriented, bright and inquisitive, and an excellent communicator. The Patient Care Coordinator is the first point of contact for our patients. The individual will be responsible for greeting patients, answering the phones, scheduling appointments, and completing administrative processing. This position will also assist in marketing and outreach efforts to support the mission of the practice.
